The Facts About IWTA!

The first Wheelchair Tennis Tournament took place in May 1977 in Griffith Park, California and attracted nearly 30 players. The sport continues to grow and is now the fastest-growing sport for individuals with disabilities in the United States. Wheelchair tennis became popular in Idaho in the early 1990’s. Individuals of all ages have enjoyed the sport and with the creation of a non-profit organization we can promote the sport on a whole new level.
